Automated Scheduling

Production schedule is generated automatically based on order deadlines, machine availability and custom priorities or requirements. This key feature of IPM allow to maximize machinery utilization, enhance overall efficiency and minimize downtime. Such a dynamic and adaptive approach automatically adjust to changes in priorities or incoming urgent order. Production process remains agile and responsive, ensuring optimal performance in the ever-changing landscape of manufacturing.

Seamless Execution

At the cell level, all individual production steps and task are executed according to dynamically generated schedule, current machine utilization and resource allocation. Through our proprietary and versatile interface we can connect, manage and control production machines, devices and robots in one integrated automation solution. Thanks to all this, our IPM solution is able to provide seamless production execution with optimized part flow and efficiency.

Real-Time Monitoring

Tracking all key performance indicators and production states is a must. From machine utilization and resource allocation over logging and event management to machine error monitoring. IPM provides simplicity and clarity in data access for all users. Whether you're a manufacturing worker a floor manager or an executive, our system empowers every user to effortlessly retrieve the specific data they need, offering a comprehensive view of production landscape.

Production Orchestration

IPM Factory layer takes care of order flow management, resource planning and logistics in your workshop. Using our versatile interface, it will retrieve order and product data directly from your ERP system or other data sources and create production orders that are dynamically scheduled and executed based on various inputs and priorities.

Production Optimization

At the operational level on the shop floor, IPM Cell performs as a key software layer. Responsible for executing assigned orders, it break them down into individual production tasks which are further scheduled and optimized based on real-time state and availability of production machines and resources. Tasks are then executed in parallel from multiple orders at one time to achieve high efficiency and elevate performance of the entire production cell, ensuring streamlined and optimized production process.

Production Execution

At the core of our system lies IPM Executor - the foundational layer connecting all machines and devices at the hardware level. Through our universal interface and real-time communication, it unifies all elements of the cell into one functional unit. With Executor, we exercise control over production machines, command robot, device communication and gather relevant production data. It's the quiet force behind the scenes, ensuring your operations run seamlessly and smoothly.

Loading and Unloading

The workpieces are loaded into the line using a loading station, which can take several different forms. For example, for loading parts on pallets, bulk parts, etc. The station can be operated manually by the operator or automatically, for example by AGV.

Preparation for Production

Before the item can be transformed into a product, various preparatory operations must be carried out. This can be, for example, automatic or manual clamping of the item (on a pallet), checking the position or dimensions of items, or accurately locating the position using 3D measurements and zero points.

Storage

Parts, pallets, electrodes and tools need to be stored. For this purpose, we have developed a number of magazines. These can be either passive in the form of various racks, shelves and storage units, or active to maximise the use of space, for example a rotating tray for electrodes or tools.

Machining

Machining is most important part of the production cell. IPM integrates full range of CNC machining. For example:

  • Milling (5 or 3-axis)
  • Turning
  • Grinding
  • EDM (spark / wire / die sinking)

Auxiliary Operations

In practice, it is often necessary to include so-called auxiliary operations among the main production steps. For example: pouring out the dielectric after machining, blowing or rinsing the part from the sprue, thorough washing of the machined part before measuring the quality, marking the workpiece by laser or engraving, etc. For all these cases, we have a solution including our own station that can be easily integrated into the line and the process.

Handling

Handling of workpieces or pallets is typically performed by a 6-axis industrial robot equipped with an end effector with an exchange system that allows the robot to automatically exchange different end effectors as needed.

IPM deployment time can vary depending on several factors, including the complexity of production processes, the size of the operation, the readiness of the existing infrastructure, and the level of customization required.
In general, the implementation of this system comprises three stages: preparation, implementation, and integration. The duration of each phase may vary depending on the project's scale.

1) Analysis and Preparation
The success of the IPM deployment depends on a thorough understanding of your unique needs, processes and challenges. Our commitment to seamless integration begins with an essential pre-deployment phase during which our team works closely with your stakeholders, conducting in-depth analyses of your existing workflows, production processes, and operational nuances. This research allows us to tailor our IPM solution to seamlessly match your business objectives and ensures that the deployment is not just a technology integration, but a strategic enhancement to your overall operation. Preparation phase typically lasts from a few weeks to several months.

2) Out-of-the-Box Implementation
If your production processes align well with standard industry practices and your infrastructure is ready, you may be able to deploy a basic version of the IPM system for smaller applications relatively quickly. This could take a few weeks to a couple of months.

3) Customization and Integration
If your production processes are rather complex and require certain customization or if you need the IPM system to integrate with other existing systems, the deployment time may be longer. Customization to fit specific workflows, interfaces, and data integrations can extend the timeline. This could take several months.

4) Scale of the Project
The size of your production process to be automized plays a role in deployment time. Larger scale with more intricate processes may take longer to deploy compared to smaller, less complex setups.

5) Training and Adaptation
Training your team to use the new system and adapting to the changes in workflows are important components of deployment. The time required for training and adaptation depends on the complexity of the overall installation and the familiarity of your team with similar technologies.
